CorelDraw Map Slovenia full

Slovenia is a European country located in Central Europe and is known for its stunning natural landscapes, historical sites, and vibrant culture. The country is divided into several administrative territories, each with its own unique characteristics and local government responsibilities. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Slovenia was divided into the following administrative divisions:

  1. Statistical Regions (Statistične regije): Slovenia is divided into 12 statistical regions, which serve primarily for statistical and administrative purposes. These regions are:
    • Pomurska (Mura)
    • Podravska (Drava)
    • Koroška (Carinthia)
    • Savinjska (Savinja)
    • Posavska (Central Sava)
    • Zasavska (Central Slovenia)
    • Posavska (Lower Sava)
    • Primorsko-notranjska (Littoral-Karst)
    • Gorenjska (Upper Carniola)
    • Osrednjeslovenska (Central Slovenia)
    • Goriška (Gorizia)
    • Obalno-kraška (Coastal-Karst)
  2. Municipalities (Občine): Each of the 12 statistical regions is further divided into municipalities. Slovenia had 212 municipalities at the time of my last update. Municipalities are the basic administrative units responsible for local governance, public services, and infrastructure at the community level.
  3. Cities: Slovenia has several cities, with Ljubljana being the capital and largest city. Other major cities in Slovenia include Maribor, Celje, Kranj, Velenje, and Novo Mesto.
  4. Historical Regions: In addition to the modern administrative divisions, Slovenia is often culturally and historically divided into several regions. These include regions like Gorenjska, Primorska, Štajerska, Dolenjska, and others. These historical regions are important for understanding the cultural diversity and traditions within the country.

Please note that administrative divisions can change over time, so it’s a good idea to check for any updates or changes to Slovenia’s administrative territories if needed.
