Bahrain is a state that occupies more than 30 islands in the Persian Gulf. In ancient times it was a major trading center. In Manama, the capital of Bahrain, there is a National Museum with collections dedicated to the ancient country of Dilmun, which existed on the territory of the islands for several millennia. Manama is also known for its Bab al-Bahrain bazaar. It sells a variety of goods: from bright fabrics and spices to pearls.
