It’s a short hike from the Boyana neighborhood in Sofia and offers a serene escape into the forested area surrounding the waterfall. The cascade is especially beautiful in the spring and early summer when the snowmelt feeds the waterfall.
  3. Pancharevo Lake: Situated just a short drive from Sofia, Lake Pancharevo is a popular destination for relaxation and recreation.   5. Iskar Gorge: The Iskar Gorge is a natural wonder located to the north of Sofia. This rugged and picturesque canyon is carved by the Iskar River and offers fantastic opportunities for hiking and rock climbing. The area is known for its stunning rock formations, dense forests, and diverse plant and animal life.
  6. Plana Mountain: Plana Mountain is another nearby destination for nature enthusiasts. It offers hiking trails, opportunities for birdwatching, and is known for its biodiversity. The mountain is part of the Rila-Rhodope massif and is situated to the south of Sofia.
