  2. Valday National Park: While not in Rybinsk itself, Valday National Park is one of the largest and most well-known national parks in the Yaroslavl Oblast. It’s located to the west of Rybinsk, approximately 200 kilometers away. This park is renowned for its natural beauty, featuring numerous lakes, dense forests, and diverse wildlife. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, and water-based activities in the park.
  3. Plescheyevo Lake and Plescheyevo National Park: Plescheyevo Lake is located to the northeast of Rybinsk, and it is part of the Plescheyevo National Park. This park is famous for its stunning landscapes, featuring a large freshwater lake surrounded by forests and meadows. It’s a popular destination for boating, fishing, and birdwatching. The park also has historical sites, including the Ipatiev Monastery.
  4. Volga-Kama Nature Reserve: While not very close to Rybinsk, the Volga-Kama Nature Reserve is located to the south and southwest of the city. This protected area encompasses diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, forests, and riverside habitats. It is home to various bird species, including migratory waterfowl, making it a great spot for birdwatching.
