Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, is a bustling metropolis known for its mix of modern skyscrapers, historical sites, and vibrant culture. Here are some of the principal streets, roads, and districts that define Seoul:

Streets and Roads:

  1. Gangnam-daero: One of the main boulevards in the affluent Gangnam district, known for its high-end shops, entertainment venues, and business centers.
  2. Teheran-ro: A major road in the Gangnam district, often referred to as Seoul’s Silicon Valley due to the concentration of tech companies and startups.
  3. Sejong-daero: A significant thoroughfare in central Seoul, running past key landmarks such as Gwanghwamun Square, the Statue of King Sejong, and the U.S. Embassy.
  4. Jongno (Jongno-ro): One of Seoul’s oldest and most historic streets, lined with palaces, traditional markets, and cultural sites. It’s a central road that connects many historical and cultural attractions.
  5. Namdaemun-ro: Runs through the central business district and past Namdaemun (Sungnyemun Gate), one of the city’s historic gates, and the bustling Namdaemun Market.
  6. Euljiro: An important street in central Seoul, known for its concentration of office buildings, shops, and the historic Euljiro Industrial Tool Street.

City Districts:

  1. Jongno-gu: The historical and cultural heart of Seoul, home to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Insadong, a popular area for traditional crafts and tea houses.
  2. Gangnam-gu: A wealthy and modern district known for its upscale shopping, trendy restaurants, and entertainment venues. Made internationally famous by the song “Gangnam Style.”
  3. Yongsan-gu: Known for the Yongsan Electronics Market, Itaewon (a diverse neighborhood popular with expats), and the massive Yongsan Garrison, a U.S. military base.
  4. Mapo-gu: Home to Hongdae, a vibrant area known for its youthful culture, street performances, indie music scene, and trendy cafes and bars.
  5. Seocho-gu: A residential and commercial district adjacent to Gangnam, known for its art centers, parks, and the Supreme Court of Korea.
  6. Songpa-gu: Features Lotte World (a major entertainment complex), the Olympic Park, and the high-rise Lotte World Tower.
  7. Dongdaemun-gu: Known for Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Dongdaemun Market, a major fashion and shopping district.
  8. Jung-gu: Central district encompassing Myeongdong (a major shopping area), Namdaemun Market, and various corporate headquarters and government buildings.

Notable Areas:
