Moldova is a state in Eastern Europe, which used to be part of the USSR. The territory of Moldova is occupied by forests, mountains and vineyards. The main wine-producing regions of the country are Nistreana, famous for its red wines, and Codru, where some of the largest wine cellars in the world are located. The capital of the country, the city of Chisinau, is famous for its architecture from the times of the USSR. There is also the National Museum of the History of Moldova. It features various works of art and ethnographic collections highlighting the country’s cultural connection with Romania.
