Map Palma Mallorca Spain for Printing

Palma de Mallorca, the capital city of the Balearic Islands in Spain, has a well-developed transportation and port infrastructure.

Vectormap.Net provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date vector maps in Adobe Illustrator, PDF and other formats, designed for editing and printing. Please read the vector map descriptions carefully.

**1. Air Transportation:

  • Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI): This international airport is one of the busiest in Spain and serves as a major gateway to the Balearic Islands. It is located about 8 kilometers east of the city center. The airport connects Palma de Mallorca with numerous destinations across Europe and beyond.

**2. Public Transportation:

  • Buses: Palma has an extensive bus network operated by Empresa Municipal de Transportes Urbanes de Palma de Mallorca (EMT), serving the city and its suburbs.
  • Metro: As of my last update, Palma does not have a metro system, but plans for a metro have been discussed.
  • Taxis: Taxis are readily available in the city and can be found at designated taxi ranks or hailed on the street.

**3. Port Infrastructure:

  • Port of Palma: The Port of Palma is a major seaport and a crucial hub for maritime activities in the Balearic Islands. It handles both passenger and cargo traffic.
  • Passenger Terminals: The port has terminals dedicated to cruise ships and ferries, serving as a popular destination for Mediterranean cruises. Passengers arriving by ferry often come from mainland Spain and other nearby islands.
  • Cargo Facilities: The port handles cargo traffic, including containers, general cargo, and bulk cargo. It plays a significant role in the logistics and distribution networks for the region.
  • Marinas: Palma is known for its upscale marinas, attracting yachts and sailing enthusiasts. The city hosts international sailing events, and its marinas offer various services for boaters.

**4. Road Infrastructure:

  • Road Network: Palma de Mallorca has a well-maintained road network, including highways and local roads. The road infrastructure facilitates transportation within the city and connectivity with other parts of the island.
  • Car Rentals: Car rental services are available in the city, providing visitors with the flexibility to explore the island at their own pace.

**5. Rail Transportation:

  • Train Services: The island of Mallorca has a rail network, but the train services are more limited compared to other modes of transportation. The railway connects Palma with some towns and villages on the island.

It’s important to note that infrastructure and services may have evolved since my last update. For the most accurate and current information, especially regarding any new developments or changes, it’s recommended to consult local transportation authorities, port authorities, and official tourism sources.
