CorelDraw Map Kabul Afghanistan

Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan, is divided into several districts and neighborhoods, each with its own unique characteristics and demographics. Please note that the situation in Kabul may have changed significantly since my last knowledge update in January 2022 due to ongoing political and security developments. Here are descriptions of some of Kabul’s prominent districts and neighborhoods as of that time:

  1. Shāre Naw (Shar-e Naw):

    • The neighborhood is home to many government offices and foreign embassies, making it a significant diplomatic and administrative hub.
  2. Wazir Akbar Khan:
    • This district is known for its upscale and expat-friendly atmosphere.
    • Wazir Akbar Khan is home to many foreign embassies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and high-end restaurants.

  3. Karte Seh (Karte 3):

    • The neighborhood has a diverse population and offers a wide range of services and businesses.
  4. Kabul Old City:
    • The Old City of Kabul, with its narrow winding streets, is a historical area with many traditional bazaars and markets.
    • It offers a glimpse into Kabul’s rich history, with landmarks like the historic Bala Hissar fortress and the Shah-Do Shamshira Mosque.
  5. Deh Afghanan (Deh Mazang):
    • Deh Afghanan is a densely populated district with a mix of residential and commercial areas.
    • It’s known for its local markets, shops, and a more traditional Afghan atmosphere.
    • The neighborhood has a diverse population and is often crowded with activity.
  6. Khair Khana:
    • Located in the northern part of Kabul, Khair Khana is a predominantly residential area.
    • It is known for its various markets and shops, offering a wide range of goods and services.
    • The district is more residential and less commercial than some other areas of Kabul.
  7. Kabul District 12 (PD12):
    • Located in the southwestern part of the city, PD12 is a mix of residential and industrial areas.
    • This district includes many working-class neighborhoods, and it’s known for its diversity and lively street markets.

It’s important to emphasize that Kabul has faced significant security and political challenges in recent years, with the situation evolving rapidly. Neighborhood descriptions might not fully represent the current state of affairs, and it is advisable to consult updated, on-the-ground sources for the latest information and safety guidelines when considering travel or residence in Kabul.
