Modify 3D Label Map
3D Label Map Manager allows you to manage all 3D thematic map layers in the scene and change the 3D thematic map settings for favorable effects. Select a 3D label map layer in the Layer Manager and click the group dialog box launcher for the Label group to display the 3D Label Map Manager. You can save a thematic map you have created as a template for reuse. Please refer to Save to Thematic Map Template Library. Set the transparency of the labels in the 3D label map. Type in a value between 0 and 100. 0 represents fully opaque and 100 represents fully transparent. Set the factor by which the labels are scaled. Type a value in the text box to the right. The default scale factor is 1. Set the font for the label text of the 3D label map. You can select a font from the dropdown list. You are allowed to navigate fonts using the first letter of the font name. For instance, press T to display the fonts starting with ‘T’. Select a font from the dropdown list. Align the selected labels. Multiple alignment methods are provided in the Alignment drop-down list. 12 alignment methods are provided. You can select an alignment method from the dropdown list. The default is top left. Change the rotation of the labels in the 3D label map. This command needs to be used with Clamp in Font Effects. Check Clamp first, then you can set the Rotation. Otherwise, the item will be unavailable. You can directly type in a value or tune the slide bar to change the value. The unit of the value is degrees and the anticlockwise direction is positive. This command needs to be used with Italic in Font Effects. You are allowed to set the Italic Angle only if you check the Italic box in the Font Effects region. The Italic Angle item is used to control the angle of the italic text. You can directly type in a value or tune the slide bar to change the value. The value could be positive or negative and the unit is degrees. When set to 0, the default italic effect is employed. The item is only active if you check the Italic box. Set the text color of the label. Click the drop-down arrow to the right to display the color panel, in which you can select a color or click More Colors to define one. Set the background color of the label. Click the drop-down arrow to the right to display the color panel, in which you can select a color or click More Colors to define one. The item is only active if you check the Outline or uncheck the Transparent box. The background color will be invisible if you check the Transparent to transparently display the backgrounds of the labels. Specify the altitude mode of the labels. While Clamp is employed, the altitudes of the labels will be totally ignored and they will be clamped to the ground according to the longitudes and attitudes. While Clamp is not employed, 3D label text will keep a certain amount of distance to the ground. Add outline effects to labels. You cannot set both the outline effects and the background color for the labels. Actually, if you have set the background color, the labels are outlined by the color. Transparent: Transparently display the backgrounds of the labels. You cannot set both the outline effects and the background color for the labels. If you check the Transparent box to transparently display the backgrounds of the labels and set the Background the labels are outlined by the color you set for the background. Source.
